Our Pastor: Bro. Brandon Davis
I was saved at the age of 7 years old in Lubbock TX. I grew up throughout the West Texas region but landed in Lubbock in 1994 where I stayed until 2007. I had been raised in church my grandfather being a Baptist minister and family understanding the importance of church in a persons life. I worked as a Sunday School teacher, youth worker, and college ministry director with Quaker Avenue Missionary Baptist Church in Lubbock for 10 years before being called into a Pastoral Ministry. I left Lubbock to attend Texas Baptist Institute in Henderson Texas January of 2007. In Febuary of 2008 I met my Wonderful wife Crystal at the church I was attending. We knew it was love from the beginning and by April we were engaged and October 4th 2008 became the greatest day of my life, besides the day the Lord saved my soul, because that is the day we were married. Then in May of 2009 Cedar Creek Missionary Baptist church called where we accepted our first pastorate. In January of 2010 I was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure and God led me back to Henderson to recover and regain my strength. I was back in Henderson attending church and not looking for a new pastorate when Marshall Missionary Baptist called for me to come in view of a call. I visited and fell in love with the friendliness and love I could see within this church. I went home and told Crystal about my day and she was excited and wanted to come look at the church. We called and asked if we could look at the parsonage and Kirby Evans told us sure come on and he would open it up for us and would like to have dinner with us. We agreed and when we pulled in several church members were there to welcome us and we looked at the Parsonage and church and had dinner with the group. On the way Home Crystal was in love with the ladies of the church and their love and warmth towards her. We prayed about this decision and came to the truth that this is where God wanted us and we accepted the call and moved here in August of 2011. We have enjoyed the warmth and fellowship that we have received and want to invite anyone looking for that to come join with us in our worship here at Marshall Missionary Baptist Church.
